Biology course for high school students

This is a high school/ college preparatory survey course in the foundations of chemistry, quantification, and chemical interactions. Historical development of chemistry and the periodic table, nomemclature of elements and compounds and descriptive chemistry and reaction chemistry are discussed. Numerical quantification, use of scientific notation, and conversions of units are thoroughly practiced skills employed throughout the course. Laboratory experiences are limited by our classroom setting and safety. Selected topics in acid-base chemistry, oxidation-reduction, chemical kinetics and eqilibria may be included.

They investigate fields such as botany, anatomy, zoology, microbiology, and ecology with the goal of discovering the thoughts of the Creator through the ingenious structure and orderly function of His creation.
